Webteaming is a philosophy that supports the student-driven, student-designed school website.  It is our belief that school websites must become more than conduits for administrative information.  In the webteaming school, students are the primary audience and the primary developers of the school site.  The site is used as a showcase for student activity (both academic and extra-curricular), an informational resource, and a community builder.

Craig High School, in Janesville, Wisconsin, has been named NextSTEP Magazine's 2004-2005 Super Site.  Read about the award in the March/April edition at nextSTEPmag.com, and in the Wisconsin State Journal.
The Student Web Awards feature the only nationwide Web design contest just for high school students, showcasing the best work by the generation with the most potential to expand the future of digital communication.

This site and the concept it embraces are under construction (as all great learning is!). We are seeking the opportunity to collaborate with others who are actively producing student-centered school websites and with in anyone who is interested it doing so (no matter what your budget or experience level).  If you are a teacher/advisor or a student member of a school web team, or if you are interested in forming a school web team, please contact me for more information about our goals!
